at 11am, how about you?
(You can watch online if you can’t be there in person)
Its great to be a fan of someone or something decent…
…but it’s not to be a fanatic.
It’s great to be zealous toward a noble cause…
…but not it’s nit to be a zealot.
It’s great to enjoy a fine meal…
…but it’s not to be a glutton.
The obvious point here is that when most good things are carried to the extreme, they become bad.
They are usually okay in moderation and best at the proper dosage and timing.
This is an essential of excellence in life: harmonic balance.
Yes, there are times when we should jet and other times we are best to rest. A time to push and other to relax. Times to pull and times to rest.
But foremost, we need to be wise. To know the truth. To know north is always north. Not to be a feel and double time in the opposite direction. That’s why we need to measure twice and cut once but we need to cut one way or the other before it’s too late. No decision inevitably becomes worse than a so-so decision. So let’s first choose between right and wrong, the good from decent. then great from good so we can be the best we can become.
When we do that well, we will have plenty of fans but won’t be a fanatic, zealot, selfish glutton.
To win, you got to believe. What a great example here of a lady, team and horse with tremendous belief.
She overcame the odds and plenty of challenges to claim the Triple Crown. Its a great real life story and good movie.
She aligned her head, heard and hands to achieve this great racing victory.
60 Minutes is a sad joke, as is most ‘woke’ media. It’s scary what they are producing as ‘investigative’ reporting.
I decided to watch an episode to ‘balance’ my news intake and almost puked 🤮 3 times.
Last week, the show was like a huge Chicken Little 🐓 🌧️ sky falling fear mongering save the planet doomsday episode.
We all need to be good stewards of our planet but please….don’t worship the creation and ignore the creator while remaining in constant freak out mode as Chicken Little.
They sternly warned there is NO WAY to feed 8 billion people and wild life is like nil, on the verge of eradication and climate change is all man made doomsday. They ran this bit on an Alaskan salmon fisherman (who seemed like a great guy and has adapted). I looked up fishing world wide and its up from 142 million pounds to 190 some million pounds that were tracked in a decade.
Plus salmon farms are increasing and where the majority of salmon 🍣 come from anyhow (though I do prefer wild caught – if it says ‘Atlantic Salmon’ it’s farm raised, which isn’t a big deal and less expensive to produce I presume.
Thankfully, its a big resilient planet.
They say its BILLIONS of years old, so no worries – right?
The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it. – Selwyn Duke
One great problem of our society is not knowledge nor lack of information but rather the truth hidden amongst misinformation.
Have you witnessed these haters? How so?
