My Pondering
These things started changing in the sixties, decade I was born, and forces have been chipping away at it for 60 some years.
It wasn’t ALL good prior nor ALL bad currently but there is a significant difference which has eroded our core essence of what made America the bright beacon of them world.
Right vs. wrong was clearer.
Absolute truths were understood.
Patriotism was important.
Honor was earned and respected.
The Providence of God was desired.
Prayers were offered in the school.
Manners and decency were expected.
How times have changed but that doesn’t mean we can’t take the best and leave the rest.
It’s a two-way street. Our Police 👮♀️ need to be respectable, our President honorable, Our Military strong and honorable as well, our Babies not aborted, our Parents walking the talk, our Elders engaged and we know our God never changes. He hasn’t moved, we have.
One thing for certain is we need God in ALL we do, think and feel. A relationship with God is personal and up to the individual yet reverence for God should be held high in our institutions. As our money still bears, ‘In God we trust’.
