Sleep – Psalms 3:5

“I lay down and slept;
I woke again, for the LORD sustained.”
Psalms 3:5

My take: Its a new morning and a new year. I laid my head last night and low and behold, while I was sleeping my heart continued to beat, my lungs fed me oxygen and the sun is beginning to rise as usual. What did I do? Not much, if anything. I know this is simple but simple is good. Before I go to sleep, I like mutter this prayer, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.” Its and old prayer and certainly not original but I love its simplicity.

Actually, turn your worries into prayers is the best remedy.

Live or die, thanks to Jesus, I am good.

My prayer: I pray you sleep well. See above.
