Yes, God gives us free will and at the same time, He makes things happen when He sees fit. We influence, He controls the big important stuff and sets forth whatever He wishes. We have micro-control, He has macro-control. It is kind of like evolution.
We can work-out with weights and build our muscles but our Creator made all our muscles 💪
We can spend time in the sun and darken our skin but He made mase skin and the sun ☀️.
We can go a few days without sleep but ultimately we must sleep because God ordained it so 🛌.
We can build stuff on our own but how much better is it if we include others and most assuredly seek to include God. Yes, as the Good Book says:
Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.
