My Pondering
Pride was the sin that got Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels purged from Heaven
Pride was the impetus which the devil leveraged to coax Eve to eat the forbidden.
Pride is an issue for most all of us. Check out what this writer of Proverbs penned:
and you say, “How I hated discipline,
Proverbs 5:12 — 5:14
and my heart despised reproof!
I did not listen to the voice of my teachers
or incline my ear to my instructors.
I am at the brink of utter ruin
in the assembled congregation.”
Once our pride is busted, we can have an honest respect of Fear. And that lead to Humility. And the Bible tells is to humble ourselves and God will lift us up. That is Godfidence and meekness. That leads to Faith and persevering Hope in God. All for His Glory. Boasting in God alone.
