David seems always quick to boast of God, as the Bible tells if we are to boast of anything it should be of the LORD. He isn’t timid nor does he keep his religious life in the shadows but rather is eager to speak up about the great One upon high. People talk about what they love. Some rather keep their thoughts and feelings private and certainly there is a time and place for this.
However, if keeping your faith and admiration for God a ‘secret’ and on the down low is the norm, perhaps there may be a cause for concern. One passage comes to mind:
Mat 10:32 — Mat 10:33
So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Until the dross of sin is removed after I die, I will never do you name justice properly but let that be of no excuse for giving my all. Lord, help me talk the walk and walk the talk.
