Pondering Proverbs Pro 5:3 – 5:4

“For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey,
and her speech is smoother than oil,
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
sharp as a two-edged sword.”
Proverbs 5:3 – 5:4

My take: Gotta appreciate Solomon for his candor (and he would know). Too bad he didn’t follow his own advice. Just watching N. Hill’s Laws of Success the other day and he stated the 3 greatest powers are love, sex and money. In the lanes God created them, they are noble, just and pure. Outside of their boundaries, Proverbs delivers a stern warning. So much destruction done by infidelity, jealously and blowing up trust.
My prayer: Lord, help me to slay all the rotten desires of the flesh and keep me on the narrow path to eternal communion and blissful Heaven.
