My Pondering
The devil is sure sneaky and deceiving. He is not called out in the Bible as ‘the father of lies’ without just cause. Sometimes his voice is initially similar but if we listen intently, we’ll know the difference. If we lean into God’s word and prayer, the Spirit will guide us one way or the other, sooner or later. The closer we get to God, the better we sheep can hear our Shepherd’s voice.

That’s discernment to recognize the difference between the voices.
When it’s unclear and we don’t understand how it’s going to matter and make a positive difference, it takes faith that trusts Him.
Lastly, it takes discipling obedience to do what His voice beckons.
There is no other way to please God than simply doing our best to discern, trust and obey. Yes, we must trust and obey for there is no other way.
By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
1 John 3:19-24
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
