Life is hard
but
God is good.
Like how the flying geese encourage one another flying in formation, let us help another while we can.
Though its by faith we are saved, as Martin Luther so eloquently pointed out in Scripture we need to be diligent in our faith as we most certainly have an enemy lurking about.
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
2 Peter 3:14
By our daily habits, by intentional choosing good habits and making our BIG decisions firmly in advance, we are indeed diligent. We put first things first – consistently.
BE READY
Eph 5:14-16 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
EACH DAY, HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT.
2 Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
1 Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Summary
A. CHRISTIANITY IS A DAY BY DAY LIFE;
(WALK THE WAY EVERY DAY)
B. IT CAN ONLY BE LIVED IN THE ‘HERE AND NOW’
(TODAY IS THE DAY, IT’S A GIFT; THE PRESENT)
C. IT WILL BE REWARDED IN THE “HERE AND NOW” & THE “THEN AND THERE.”
(GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM NOW AND LATER)
