I have been focusing on one word for the year.
Except, last year I had two as ABIDE grew out of my scripture vs of the year along with OPTIMIZE.
This year, its the word STEADFAST.
Its a a great habit to focus and dig mighty deep and regularly focus on a word.

This year, I am able and shall integrate my word of the year with my Scripture verse of the year.
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].
1st Corinthians 15:58, Amp

Of that verse, I am focusing on this segment:
“Be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord”
and from that
“Be steadfast”
These verses are complimentary:
Psalms 57:7 My heart is steadfast (confident, ready, committed) O God, my heart is steadfast andconfident! I will sing, yes, I will sing praises [to You]!
Hebrews 6:19 AMP This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells],
Psalms 112:7 He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting [confidently relying on and believing] in the LORD.
Isaiah 26:3 AMP “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
Psalm 51:10 AMP Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.

2 Peter 3:17 AMP Therefore, [let me warn you] beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men [who distort doctrine] and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith],
Psalms 119:5 ESV “Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!”
Ruth 1:18 “When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”
Colossians 4:2 ESV “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
Act 7:55 KJV “But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly (intently) into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

SteadFast to me means:
Stead: Steady, Reliable, Constant, Consist, Sturdy, Faithful, Dependable
Fast: Quick, Agile, Run, Accelerator
Therefore, I am remaining Steadfast with continual improving; kaizen.
