Pondering Psalms 100:5

“For the LORD is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.”

Psalms 100:5

My pondering: Yes and amen! God is good all the time. All the time, God is good…and loving and faithful…to all.

Unfortunately, this life can sting and be sharp at times, like the rose with its thorns.

Why would a loving God permit and allow such tragedy, terrible accidents and rampant sin to exist and flourish?

Especially, since He is all powerful and all knowing,…why?

Steadfast love is why!

FREE WILL

God truly desires relationship and one where people can love Him to the max. This apparently requires choice. Choice to love or ignore. Choice to respect or be careless. Choice to be obedient or chaotic. He gave us the dignity of free will to soar high or crash and burn.
Such is this life of extremes, opposites, polarity, paradox, antimony yet there is also harmony, unity, solidarity, like mindedness, and flow.

Look at a rose. Isn’t our physical life like this flower. Full of beauty with lush pedals rich in color yet thorns too. Compared to eternity, this life is brief like the longevity of a freshly cut flower 🌹.

All I know is we must trust God and look thru our current challenges. Paul encourages here 2 Corinthians 4:17:

“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison”

Now that is the God I am talking about! Glory beyond all comparison!

Deep down at God’s inner core our heavenly Father is good, loving and faithful; for the Bible tells us so. I hope you agree for your future glory sake.
