“But for me it is good to be near God;
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works.”
My take: Yes sir! It is good to be near God and it will be awesome to see Him and be with God. Just think, when all things become new all of Jesus’s disciples will have glorified bodies like Christ. So like Paul penned, these momentary afflictions will pale to the glory of Heaven.
When the psalmist talks about making God his refuge, this concept is throughout the Bible. How about Ephesians 6? Putting on the armour of God.
Lastly, let’s share the good news of God and His gospel.
Some will, some won’t. The rest is up to God and them.
My prayer: LORD, may I be found aligned with Your Son on judgement day. I trust He will speak out on my woeful behalf and say, “He is one of mine. I have kept him”. Until then, help me to carry my cross well enough. You LORD are my refuge.
