Pondering Psalms 68:1 — 68:3

“God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered;

and those who hate him shall flee before him!

As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;

as wax melts before fire,

so the wicked shall perish before God!

But the righteous shall be glad;

they shall exult before God;

they shall be jubilant with joy!”

Psalms 68:1 — 68:3

My take: David shares a stern warning and an anwesome event, depending on where you stand. Either with or against. No middle ground here. Haters will flee like roaches at night when bright light shines. Like a fierce wind driving away smoke and fire melting wax. Sad but true. So what are you going do? I am going to cling to Jesus and looking forward to the exultation and jubilee!

My prayer: Heavenly awesome God, Your power knows no bounds. Your patience is longsuffering but you tell us it has it limits. I am Yours and You are mine.
