My take: Christ said He came to fulfill the law not entirely abolish it. No doubt He did what we were unable regarding the law but there is still responsibility upon Christians to DO.
to fear God,
to not fear the world,
to witness ,
to love God,
to love others,
and to receive His Word and grace.
If we aren’t careful, it is easy to get lost in and be confounded upon all the vast mysterious things of God. If this happens, we may lose sight and focus of the main things.
This verse prompts us to keep the main things front and center. Talk is cheap and action is dear. We must DO. We must DO not as our wondering heart feels but rather what God sets forth as first and foremost.
