Pondering Proverbs 30:5 — Pro 30:6
Every word of God proves true;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar.
My take: Only God can make that claim and back it up; every word of God proves true. Now from our limited perspective and hinderances this may seem silly or impossible. It requires faith. God is real. If we could figure Him out completely, then He wouldn’t be much of a God would He?
Thankfully He has given us the inspired Bible, His Spirit and a community of believers. Someday, it will all be revealed. The ultimate question is will you have Jesus for or against thee?
My prayer: Dear God, thank you for being true blue. I trust you!
