A City upon a Hill

Yes, lets ‘consider that we shall be a City Upon a Hill’ because God allowed that to happen and good people did something good, not perfect but good.

Lets take heart. God hasnt changed, they had great (arguably greater) than we BUT they exercised great faith and kept reverence for the Almighty. Certainly not all but Winthrop and the majority of the Pilgrims sure did.

“A City upon a Hill” is a phrase derived from the parable of Salt and Light in Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount. In a modern context, it is used in United States politics to refer to America acting as a “beacon of hope” for the world.

We can take advantage of our great history and consider it a blessing or we can pick it apart as if that will help. Learn from it yes to make us better not to act like animals destroying it.
