Psalms 40:5

Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works

Which You have done;

And Your thoughts toward us

Cannot be recounted to You in order;

If I would declare and speak of them,

They are more than can be numbered.

Just think of all the amazing works, the intricate detail and sum of the moving parts that make the world a wonder to behold; from the micro atom to the vast universe and everywhere in between.

Modern science, advanced from our perspective and history, is elementary compared to God’s divine, unlimited, multi-dimensional capacity. The LORD’S omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence is incalculable and formidable.

It’s incredible in the processes and material combinations to sustain physical life. Then add to that the mystery in how feelings, thoughts, imagination, and comprehension work.

Finally, think that God has made us in an image of Him and we have the opportunity to understand God in a sense, a glimmer, which is literally out of this world into the next for eternity.

Yes, you are certainly right David, they are innumerable.

So when the world has got you down, when your thinking is stinking then think on these things. Count your blessings. Remember your victories. Know that God, the God of the universe, knows your name. He knows more about you than you do. He has given each of us a choice, moment by precious moment.

When you feel on top of the world, know that you are nothing without God. We are called to humble ourselves, so that He may lift us up. Our purpose is not to glorify ourselves, not to puff up in pride, but rather to glorify our Crestor for He alone is perfect and thus worthy.
