Have S.M.A.R.T.E.R. Goals
(Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, Timely, Emotional, Right)
Specific – They need to be able to be written and concise.
Measurable – They need to be able to be tracked and thus measurable.
Actionable – Goal must be put into action and do-able.
Relevant – They should be tied to your overall mission and purpose.
Timely – Goals need a timeline and focused upon regularly.
Emotionally – To get the most traction, we should empower them with emotions and feeling.
Right – Our goals need to be just, true and good for us and others or they will be empty.

I like to reflect upon and build my goals around the Circle of Life. I may have too many but I suppose that is better than too few. They are like books in that way.
